Peter, who is well known nationally for writing on energy related matters, started an electrical services business in South Sligo in 1986, working mainly for the local manufacturing industry. During the 90s and early 2000s, he also supplied and installed solar PV, solar heating and small wind and hydro energy systems. Would you like to write for The Irish Energy Times?

We are still looking for contributors (regularly or once-off). You don't have to be famous to write for us; what we are looking for are well-written, interesting, concise articles on any matter related to energy.

Specifically, we do invite:

• Reviews of non-standard energy technologies, the state of R&D, pilot projects, etc.
• Real life experiences from people/businesses living with renewables
• Success stories' of businesses who made a serious effort to conserve energy
• Success stories' of home owners who improved their existing house (we cannot afford to rebuild the whole country with new passive houses!)
• Reports on energy events - exhibitions, conferences, workshops
• Car sharing experience (if any?!)
